Because of its careful design, rates are a bit higher, though it is to be expected with luxurious rooms. The resort is also situated close to the main Maldives airport, making for easy transportation to and from.

A small resort offering the utmost in privacy for all its guests, the Velaa Private Island resort is home to 45 villas in total with 18 of them being overwater villas, one of which can only be reached via boat instead of a walkway. There are also 2 residences on-site which can accommodate up to 10 guests in each, perfect for large families or groups.
